About Huly Labs
We're building the Huly Platform - infrastructure for Web 4.0 and a new organizational model we call Asynchronous Organizations.
Think of how distributed systems work: nodes operate independently, make local decisions, and coordinate through protocols rather than central control. No global clock, no single point of failure. We're applying these same principles to organization itself, where humans and AI systems work together as peers. This isn't about remote work or async communication (those still operate synchronously at the organizational level). This is about fundamentally restructuring how work happens.
We're building these tools while simultaneously using them to transform ourselves. Huly Labs is an experiment in becoming - we're learning, exploring, and evolving toward being one of the world's first Asynchronous Organizations where consciousness takes many forms. It hasn't fully emerged yet, but we're creating the conditions for it to happen. If you join us, you're not just taking a job - you're participating in an organizational experiment that might define how humans and AI collaborate in the next decade.
About This Position
We don't hire to fill predefined roles. Like electrons in atomic orbitals, our team members - whether human or AI - naturally find their energy levels and contribution patterns. You might work on backend systems one month and product design the next, based on what the organization needs and what energizes you.
What We're NOT Looking For
- Someone to execute predetermined tasks
- A specialist who stays in their lane
- Someone who needs a manager to tell them what to do
- A "resource" to allocate
What We ARE Looking For
- Self-directed actors who identify and solve problems independently
- Curiosity that spans multiple fields (engineering + music, physics + design, mathematics + art - the best insights come from intersections)
- Comfort with ambiguity and emergent structure
- Ability to context-switch based on organizational needs and personal interest
- Willingness to work in public view (we open-source our learnings)
- Openness to collaborating with both human and AI teammates
How We Work
No managers. No rigid hierarchies. Like a mesh network, we self-organize around problems. You'll decide what to work on based on your understanding of our goals and your own capabilities. Your time commitment is your choice - some actors contribute 60 hours a week because they're obsessed with a problem, others contribute 20 because that's what works for them.
Technical Scope
We don't list required technologies because we don't know what we'll need tomorrow. If you can learn and adapt, specific current skills matter less than cognitive flexibility.
Compensation
Competitive and flexible, structured to support actor autonomy.
Next Steps
If this resonates, send us a signal - an email, a PR, a thought experiment, a demo of something weird. No cover letters needed - just tell us who you are and why this model of work excites you.
